A course covering the basics of speculative design practice and explaining how to include in the innovation process
This course was designed and taught to the business students of InHolland University in the Netherlands. It was a 2-months program where speculative design was introduced as a method of experiential design research. The classes took place mostly online. Learning about futures thinking approach, the students had a chance to ask bold questions and explore their topics of interest in unexpected ways. The results were prototypes of speculative products and services. The course also emphasised the importance of responsible design and inclusion of diverse perspectives.
